In Malaysia, and more importantly KL, the stigma that exists about foreigners in Thailand is not at all evident. That is, I am not "farang," nor am I considered to be there on a mission to rape in pillage. In Thailand, if you are white, your assumed purpose is to steal their woman and exploit their economy. Whereas in Malaysia, you are there on business or you are a tourist, simple as that.
